Hospital of San Bonifacio (VR)

The smoke exhaust system for the Polo Unico Hospital of San Bonifacio represents a brand new, complete and complex example of a keys in hand project designed by Camini Wierer. The system was fully designed, manufactured and installed by our company for the buyer.

This is a multiple system that includes eight chimneys and respective smoke ducts. Five chimneys are servicing three boilers and two steam generators for the thermal power plant and three chimneys are servicing the three power generators.

- Of the thermal power plant's five chimneys, two service the steam generators BIASI mod. CTVP 5/15 A - 03 of power burnt equivalent to 3,255 kW with a nominal internal diameter of 750 mm and grow to a height of 15.50 m, with a connecting path between the chimney and the relative steam generator of 25 m each.

The third chimney services the hot water generator BIASI mod. CTVP 10/15 - 03 of power burnt equivalent to 6,595 kW with a nominal internal diameter of 1,000 mm and these also grows to a height of 15.50 m, with a connecting path between the chimney and the relative generator of 12.5 m each.

The remaining two chimneys service the hot water generators BIASI mod. CTVP 8/15B of power burnt equivalent to 5,290 kW with a nominal internal diameter of 900 mm and these also grows to a height of 15.50 m, with a connecting path between the chimney and the relative generators of 15.5 m each.

- The three chimneys serving the power generators instead, have a nominal internal diameter of 500 mm and these grow to a height of 15.50 m, with a connecting path between the chimneys and the relative motor generators of 40 m each.

The first part of the external wall of all the vertical chimneys exceeding the ceiling is composed of sheet metal with standard AISI 304, 2B semi-gloss finish, while the last six metres have an exterior finish in stainless steel AISI 304, 2B finish, then painted in red and white intervals for flight signals. The painting consists of two coats of paint for each respective colour, after a previous application of "epoxy primer".

For the chimneys support, given their development above ground away from adjacent walls, the lattice support structure with a triangular base has been foreseen. The structure built by the construction company was completed by us both in the structural and operational planning, with all the necessary support profiles foreseen for both the vertical load support, as well as the constraint of the horizontal loads, incorporating them in the same lattice.
